The Circuit of the Measuring Navigation Complex "Course" with a CABLE Telesystem
An essential fact is the ability to control the technological parameters of drilling and their registration on a personal computer, synchronously with the parameters of the well trajectory. This provides additional and essential information for understanding the process of curving a wellbore and choosing an adequate control action on its trajectory.
In the measuring complex "KURS" the advantages of cable telemetric monitoring systems are consistently and fully realized. The main ones are:
· High speed of measurements and transmission of measurement information from the bottom to the surface;
· High reliability of the measurement information, the practical absence of interference and malfunctions in the cable communication line;
· Immunity of the measurement information in the cable communication channel to mining and geological conditions, technological parameters of drilling, physical and chemical properties of the drilling fluid.
However, the main feature and uniqueness of the KURS measuring complex lies in the GYROKURSOR gyroscopic borehole block, which makes it possible to measure the well trajectory inside the drill and casing strings.
After a fairly deep modernization, in 2005 the GIROKURSOR-M downhole block was developed. In it, a more modern elemental base - microprocessors, power supply, electromechanical elements, as well as a number of design improvements. The modernization and use of a durable titanium alloy for the body of the bottomhole block allowed us to significantly reduce its dimensions and weight.
All these advantages, as well as the ability to easily and quickly replace one face block with another, allowed NT-KURS CJSC to significantly expand the range of tasks that can be solved with the help of cable telesystems and maintain sufficient competitiveness in the Russian drilling market.
