Oil and gas separators (NGS) are designed for degassing non-foaming oil and cleaning associated gas, used in installations for collecting and preparing oil field products. Operating conditions in macroclimatic regions II5 and II4 according to GOST 1650 in conditions of a moderate climate, and according to GOST 15150 in conditions of a moderately cold climate with an air temperature during operation from +40 to –40°C (for a moderate climate); from +40 to –60°C (for a moderately cold climate). The separators are designed for operation in areas with seismicity of up to 6 points on a twelve-point scale.

4 types of oil and gas separator design
- Type I is used in combination with preliminary gas extraction units (depulsators);
- Type I-P is used in combination with preliminary gas extraction units with a foam-extinguishing nozzle;
- Type II are used without preliminary gas extraction units;
- Type II-P is used without preliminary gas sampling units, with a foam-extinguishing nozzle.
At the customer's request and in agreement with the design organization, it is permissible to change the design of the equipment in terms of installing additional internal devices and changing the location of the nozzles for a specific technological complex.
