Assessment of the Background level of Environmental Pollution of the License area

The main goal of the work:
Obtaining objective information about the ecological state of the components of the natural environment and ecosystems in general before the start of subsoil user activity in the licensed area.

Documents governing the composition and content of work:
- “Requirements for assessing the background state of the territories of licensed areas of the Yamal-Nenets oil and gas fields”;
- “The basic requirements for the study of natural (background) contamination of the territory of licensed areas of oil and gas deposits of the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug”.

Tasks to be solved:
- Collection of baseline information on the natural and ecological potential of the territory;
Determination of background concentrations of pollutants;
- Adequate assessment of biological resources for the subsequent determination of the amount of compensation payments;
- The beginning of the formation of a bank of basic characteristics for the formation of an environmental monitoring network, with the active use of remote sensing data;
- Identification of areas of special sensitivity of the territory to the intended impacts.
