Description:
Designed to determine the material composition of rocks, the mass content of elements, primarily carbon and oxygen, by recording gamma-ray spectra of inelastic scattering and radiation capture of neutrons induced by a pulsed neutron generator.
Overview:
It is used in open and cased hole wells for any type of flushing fluid.
Tasks to be solved:
- estimation of current oil saturation coefficients (C / O logging);
- determination of watering intervals;
- lithological dissection of the section;
- concentration of rock-forming and fluid-forming elements;
- the mineralogical composition of the rocks;
- thermal neutron capture cross section;
- porosity and hydrogen content;
- concentration of natural radioactive elements K, Th, U.
This equipment uses one detector. If necessary, an additional probe can be installed. In world practice, one probe is used to determine the current oil saturation in equipment with a diameter of 73 ÷ 90 mm. Two detectors are used with diameters of 43 ÷ 60 mm. The best currently used BGO crystal is used, which has a maximum density and an effective atomic number.
Type of pulsed neutron generator MFNG-601. In the MFNG-601 generators, the location of the target is the closest to the end face of all the samples used in the world.
