Automated Geophysical Monitoring SYSTEM - ASGM
The safety of critical facilities in areas of high technological risk can be ensured only with the help of new methods that can reliably predict the moments of activation of the UCP. These include the EEMP method, which is based on the study of the unlimited energy of the electromagnetic field of the Earth.
The ASGM system allows you to take measures in advance to prevent catastrophic and emergency situations at facilities located in areas of natural and technological risks such as landslides, earthquakes, geodynamically active phenomena in tectonic fault zones (horizontal and vertical displacements of blocks), mining jobs, mountain impacts, soil subsidence, etc.
One of the most effective factors in reducing the risks of natural and man-made emergencies is the creation of an ASGM system. All natural-technogenic hazardous activation of geodynamic processes occur, as a rule, due to the lack of practical methods, early warning methods about their nucleation, information about the initial destructive phases, and prediction of damage.
To avoid emergency situations, the ASGM system makes it possible to obtain reliable information on the preparation of a catastrophically dangerous situation in the problem area in advance and to predict it.
The ASGM system implements:
- real-time display of early periods of the beginning of changes in the state of the rock mass, which still do not appear visually on the surface and are not available for traditional control methods.
- the ability to predict the activation of a dangerous geological event long before it occurs (from 2-5 days to 1-2 months) .
- the ability to monitor the situation on-line 24/7 and promptly make informed management decisions by specialized services .
The ASGM system is a geographically distributed software and hardware complex and includes equipment and components:
- geophysical stations (geophysical registrars) with a block of antennas recording the magnetic component of the EIEMP through two or three independent channels;
- data collection module;
- data transmission unit (radio channel, cellular or satellite communication channel, or USB interface);
- anti-vandal sealed immersion silos with the organization of power supply channels (batteries, solar panels or cable for stationary power);
- control computer;
- software.
The ASGM system can be used to ensure the safety of such vital facilities as:
- cars and railways, bridges;
- military-industrial complex;
- oil and gas complex;
- energy complex (nuclear power plants,
hydraulic engineering facilities, etc.);
- large and unique engineering structures;
- urban infrastructure.
The main effect-forming factor for introducing the ASGM system is to reduce the frequency of accidents due to the timely adoption of measures to prevent emergency situations at facilities located in potentially dangerous geodynamic sections. Since 2006, ASGM systems have been successfully operating at a number of Gazprom PJSC facilities.
The technology can also be applied in the shelf zone. Conducted research work on the measurement of EEEMP under the thickness of salt water show a positive result. The ASGM system can be used on the seabed (according to the type of bottom geophysical stations).
