High-strength steel rolling is a metal product, which upon delivery has a yield strength of more than 300 MPa, tensile strength - up to 2500 MPa. High-strength sheet steel is increasingly used in various industries due to lower metal consumption, longer product life, lower production and operating costs compared to products from traditional steel grades.
Overview:
Strength characteristics of the metal are achieved through the use of various steel alloying systems, special modes of hot rolling (such as controlled rolling, or normalizing, or thermomechanical process), as well as heat treatment (tempering with tempering, normalization). In addition to high strength, high-strength steel material has a high impact strength (including at low temperatures), good ductility and weldability.
High-strength steel is most demanded in this segment after quenching with tempering (Q&T - quenched and tempered) and after thermomechanical rolling (TMSP - Thermomechanical controlled process).
