Boiler pipes
Boiler pipes are produced in two ways:
- method of cold deformation from a pipe billet;
- by way of hot rolling from steel 20, 20PV, 15XM, 15GS, etc.
For pipelines and boilers, which are subject to additional requirements, high and low pressure (ND) pipes made of stainless steel 12x1mf are used. Boiler pipes made of such a material are distinguished by increased strength and resistance to the effects of active substances and temperature extremes. The labeling of this product indicates the outer diameter and wall thickness. So, for a product 108x4 these parameters will be, respectively, 108 and 4 millimeters. To reduce heat loss, it is necessary to install the insulation of pipelines.
The outer diameter of the boiler pipes is in the range from 40 to 219 mm. An important characteristic of such products is the ratio of diameter to wall thickness. The higher this indicator, the higher the resistance of boiler pipes to mechanical and thermal deformations. The pipe of large diameters has thick walls, which increases its ultimate strain coefficient.
