Electrocoagulator for Wastewater Treatment UKOS-PROM-EK
In the installation, which is connected to the rectifier, aluminum or iron anodes dissolve under the influence of direct electric current. In the process of wastewater treatment, the following reactions proceed by electrolysis:
- on anodes - dissolution of anodes with the formation of metal ions
- at the cathodes - the formation of gaseous hydrogen, alkalization of water
The electrocoagulator provides coagulation of micro- and colloidal particles of solid impurities, as well as parts of emulsified contaminants. In addition, the formation of flakes of aluminum hydroxide and sorption of particles of impurities by them.
The UKOS-PROM-EC installation, as a rule, serves for aggregation of impurity particles in water. The phase separation process is carried out in other devices: sedimentation tanks, filters, etc.
Application area
Electrocoagulation of wastewater can be used to treat any type of effluent where coagulation of impurities is required, as well as in natural water treatment schemes for domestic and drinking water supply.

Installation is allowed to be used with the following initial data:
- room height for equipment placement - not less than 3.5 m
