Application of valves MZV
The main purpose is to open and close the movement of water flow in pipelines. Gate valve МЗВ and other valves with rubber wedge are used for aboveground installation on pipelines of water supply systems with pressure up to 1.6 MPa and temperature up to +75 ° C.
MZV valves are installed on the pipeline using a flange connection. This method of installation makes it possible to install flanged fittings both on a horizontal pipeline, and on a vertical one.
Wedge gate valve MVZ with a rubber wedge belongs to high-strength shut-off valves. The production of such parts is regulated in accordance with GOST.
Design features
Wedge gate valve МЗВ and similar ones are produced with a non-rising stem and a rubber wedge, the type of connection to the pipeline is flanged. The body parts and wedge are made of ductile iron, and the seals use a special high quality rubber compound. The wedge in the MZV gate valve is covered with rubber, due to this, the possibility that the gate will jam as a result of a sharp temperature change is excluded to the maximum extent. Wedge gate valve is a guarantee of complete shut-off of the flow of the working medium. The stem in the valve is double sealed. To increase the corrosion resistance of the internal parts of the valve, and to significantly increase the service life of the MZV, its constituent elements are additionally coated with a protective epoxy paint. The stem is made of corrosion-resistant steel, the cage nut is made of bronze. The seal tightness class is A (no visible leaks are allowed).
