Advantages:
1. Provides the density of drilling fluids up to 2.40 g/cm3.
2. Magnetic susceptibility 0.03-0.04 units. Si (for ZhRK 0.3-0.4 units of Si)
3. Possesses sedimentation stability - does not precipitate even at low shear stresses.
4. It is used as a weight additive to the drilling fluid to neutralize and remove hydrogen sulfide when drilling wells.
