Fuel tanker Tanker truck for light fuels and Lubricants AC-15 KAMAZ-43118
Technical features of the tanker truck
The special vehicle is a tank mounted on a KAMAZ chassis.
The tank is a welded structure consisting of two bottoms and a suitcase-shaped shell. The tank body is made of 09G2S carbon steel sheet and reinforced from the inside with flat-convex stiffeners, which additionally act as transverse breakwaters. The tank has a filler pipe. A neck with a manhole (⌀ 500 mm) is welded to the top of the tank, and a sump and flange for connection to the pump unit are located below. To avoid air pockets when filling the tank, air vents are installed - tubes with their ends leading into the neck.
There is a fill level indicator in the form of a sight glass (clinker) on the neck.
Valves are mounted in the manhole cover: breathing and safety valves - they are responsible for communicating the cavities of the tank sections with the atmosphere.
The tank has a maintenance platform with an anti-slip surface in the neck area. A ladder is pre-installed for comfortable access to the platform.
The base of the tank is made of supports on the subframe and is designed for attachment to the chassis. The supports are attached to metal cradles, which are attached to the side members of the chassis frame with stirrups. To prevent crushing, metal posts and ribs are located under the supports in the cradles. Rubber shock absorbers are placed under the supports of the tank.
The electrical wiring is laid in metal sleeves, all electrical connections are sealed, and the devices are explosion-proof.
The tanker has a warning sign "Flammable". There is a grounding chain at the rear. 200 mm of the chain must touch the road surface.
Attention! The design of the tank provides for the movement of the special vehicle either empty or with a fully filled tank. With a partial load, there is a high probability of tipping over due to the shift in the center of gravity.
