Description:
The 16S1820/16S151 sixteen-speed gearbox is used on KAMAZ chassis, dump trucks and mainline vehicles. It includes several key components: the main four-speed gearbox, a two-speed gear divider and a demultiplier. All forward gears are switched using synchronizers, and the reverse gear operates on the basis of a toothed clutch. The highest gear is an overdrive. The demultiplier has a planetary design and automatically switches using a pneumatic synchronizer valve when the lever is in the neutral position, switching between 3-4 and 5-6 gears.
