Geological Exploration Complex KGC
The KGK-A complex is available in two versions:
— KGK-A-150 with a set of drilling tools No. 1 for drilling wells with steel drill pipes to a depth of 150 m.
— KGK-A-300 with a set of drilling tools No. 2 for drilling wells with light-alloy drill pipes to a depth of 300 m.
Main components of the complex:
— Drilling rig URB-2A-2GK
— Trailer-tank PE2.5B
— Core-receiving device BP 150.00.000 with pipe trays.
— Drilling tool , pipes TBDS-73 or TBDL-75, crowns KG-84MS, KG-93MS and GK-2.
The order of operation of the complex:
The flushing fluid from the tank is pumped by the drilling pump and fed through the discharge line of the flushing system into the annular cavity of the flushing gland, from where it is pumped to the bottomhole through the inter-pipe annular channel of the double drill string.
In the immediate vicinity of the face (between the ends of the crown and the inner branch pipe of the core receiver), the flushing fluid enters the central channel of the double pipes, picks up the core and transports it to the surface.
The flow of liquid with the core passes through the central channel of the flushing gland and enters the core-receiving device via the core-discharge line of the flushing system. In the core-receiving device, the flushing liquid is separated from the core, which flows into a container, and the core remains in the perforated trays of the core-receiving device.
During drilling, the rotary head provides the double pipe string with the necessary revolutions, ensures the transmission of axial loads and is used together with the elevator for lowering and lifting operations. The core receiver is mounted on a specialized trailer-tank, which also serves to transport drilling and auxiliary tools. The use of a trailer-tank eliminates the need to dig settling tanks for flushing fluid and helps preserve the environment during geological exploration.
