GENERAL INFORMATION Fan coil units are divided by the type of operation into two-pipe (single-circuit) and four-pipe (dual-circuit), as well as by the type of installation: console, cassette and duct. A two-pipe fan coil uses one coolant and, depending on its temperature, can operate either in heating or cooling mode. A four-pipe fan coil has two independent heat exchangers, one of which is supplied with cold coolant, and the other with hot. Such a device can operate both for heating and for cooling. APPLICATION A centralized air conditioning system using fan coils is installed in industrial, commercial or public premises, as well as in organizations with a large number of separate rooms, for example, in office premises and apartment buildings. The choice of a centralized air conditioning system in such cases provides significant savings compared to the use of a large number of autonomous air conditioners, both in terms of the total cost of the equipment and in terms of electricity costs. PURPOSE A fan coil is a device designed to cool/heat air by circulating a heat/coolant through a heat exchanger. A fan coil is the final element of the system, providing direct cooling or heating of the air in the room using a liquid supplied from a chiller or hot water supply system.
