Portal crane for Handling "Kirovets"
Portal crane design
Modern modifications of the Kirovets crane, designed by Technoros , use frequency control systems and mechanisms on new components from leading European manufacturers (gearboxes, electric motors, brakes).
The design of the Kirovets has a number of undeniable advantages related to maintainability and operating costs.
Portal design:
"Kirovets" is characterized by elastic flexibility of the portal, which ensures uniform distribution of the load on the frames and units at any boom positions and at any unevenness of the rail tracks. Therefore, the design of the "Kirovets" portal allows to compensate for the poor quality of the crane tracks, which is important for cranes purchased to replace worn-out ones, on already used tracks.
Design of the slewing bearing:
The slewing bearing of the Kirovets cranes is a roller circle and a circular rail on the portal and platform. The use of a roller slewing bearing significantly simplifies installation, since it does not require precision alignment of the rotating part relative to its non-rotating part. This design simplifies and reduces the cost of repair work.
Construction of the turning organ:
The pin engagement of the turning organ used in the Kirovets allows, when the pins wear out, to restore operability by turning these pins by 90° or simply replacing them with less worn sectors of the turning mechanism. These repairs are low-cost in terms of labor intensity and consumables.
Departure change mechanism:
In the toothed rack of the Kirovets cranes, the toothed blades are attached mechanically, so they (the front and rear blades) can be swapped, leaving a full-fledged toothed blade on the worn section of the rack.
Metal structures of the crane:
In metal structures of all types under consideration, welding of supporting structures at the installation stage is not used. The design provides for plugs for draining condensate from internal cavities, however, in addition to this, the metal structures of Kirovets cranes are provided with additional vents (breathers) for ventilation of internal cavities and evaporation of condensate from metal structures, which completely eliminates the accumulation of water in cavities during routine maintenance.
Materials used for the metal structure of the crane:
The basis of the design of the Kirovets portal cranes is steel 09G2S categories 14 and 15. The technology of welding domestic cold-resistant steels is typical for domestic repair organizations.
Other benefits:
"Kirovets" can be used at temperatures down to -45°C, which is sometimes a significant indicator for a specific crane installation location. The maintainability of "Kirovets" metal structures is technologically ensured in the entire range of operating temperatures.
