Gas fire Extinguishing Modules and Batteries of the MPDU series
Gas fire extinguishing modules of the MPDU 150-V-12 series and gas fire extinguishing batteries B2-B10 MPDU 150-V-12 and 2B2-2B10 MPDU 150-V-12 (hereinafter referred to as batteries) are designed for storing and releasing into the protected premises a gas fire extinguishing agent CO2 (hereinafter referred to as GOTV) for extinguishing fires using volumetric and local methods.
The MPDU module consists of a solid-drawn high-pressure cylinder and a shut-off and starting device (hereinafter referred to as the SLD). The SLD ensures hermetic locking of the GFFS in the cylinder and its release when an electrical impulse, pneumatic pressure or the action of the operator's hand on the lever of the manual starting device is applied.
In the modules of the MPDU systems for monitoring the mass of the GFTS, a strain gauge weighing platform and a weighing controller are used, which is triggered when the mass of the GFTS decreases below the permissible level (5%).
Batteries are produced in two types:
- B2-B10 MPDU 150-V-12 – single-row,
- 2B2-2B10 MPDU 150-V-12 – double-row.
Single-row batteries contain from 2 to 10 modules, connected via a high-pressure hose (HPH) to a pipeline manifold.
There are two methods of starting batteries:
- the starting electrical impulse is supplied to the control unit with an electromagnetic drive of the pilot module with the GFTS, the pressure of which is supplied via a pneumatic starting pipeline to the remaining modules with the GFTS and activates them pneumatically,
- Manual starting of a single-row battery is carried out by turning the handle of the manual starting device of the starting cylinder or starting module. In this case, the remaining modules in the battery are switched on pneumatically.
Double-row batteries contain two single-row batteries (sections) with the above-mentioned starting methods. The difference is that the GFTS from each single-row battery is supplied via collectors to a common pipeline. In addition, it is permissible not to install an electric drive (electromagnet) on one of the sections.
The symbol for a double-row battery differs from a single-row battery by the additional number 2 in front of B2-B10 (i.e. 2B2-2B10).
The supply of GFTS from each module to the collector of single-row batteries can be carried out through a check valve. If there is a check valve, "OK" is entered into the symbol.
For double-row batteries, the presence of “OK” is mandatory and is not indicated in the symbol.
The launch algorithm provides for:
- simultaneous activation of all modules of a single-row battery
- simultaneous switching on of all modules of a double-row battery with the number of modules in one section up to 10 inclusive
- sequential connection of each row of modules (sections) in a double-row battery
To prevent unauthorized activation, the starting pipelines of all batteries are equipped with drainage devices.
The module and batteries comply with climatic performance “0”, placement category 4 according to GOST 15150 in the temperature range from minus 20 to plus 50 °C.
The modules and batteries of the MPDU are recoverable, serviceable technical products.
