Insulator SHF-10G

The SHF-10G porcelain pin insulator is designed for insulation and fastening of uninsulated and insulated wires on overhead power lines and in switchgear of AC power plants and substations with voltage from 0.4 (10, 20, 35) kV, respectively, with frequency up to 100 Hz. Caps of type K-6, K-9 and hooks KP-22 are used for fastening the insulator. The SHF-20G insulator is the most common among pin porcelain insulators. Installation is carried out on hooks KV-22. Its main functional difference from the 10G modification is an increased leakage path (as can be seen from the table - more than 1.5 times). The letter "G" in the designation is the index of the year of modernization. The SHF-20 G1 insulator has a more attractive design difference from 20G, allowing to do without the use of mounting rollers during line installation. A plastic bushing is mounted in the groove between the ledges, in the upper part of the insulator, into which the cable (wire) is placed during installation of the line. The wire, on straight sections of the line, is fastened either in the groove or on the neck of the insulator. When the line turns, the wire is fastened on the insulator neck.
