The shock absorber AU89C is designed to reduce the axial shock load on the downhole equipment that occurs when the perforator is launched on the tubing.
Overview:

The shock absorber is installed in the tubing string arrangement, on which the perforator is lowered into the well, directly above the perforator.
There are two modifications that differ in the embodiment of the shock-absorbing elements:
- in AU89C - rubber bushings
- in АУ89С-01 - steel disk springs
