An external hydraulic tube with a locking mechanism of the collet type is designed to lower and raise downhole tools with standard and non-standard external fishing necks or a cylindrical catch item. The tool has an exceptionally strong construction and provides full capture (360 °) of the fishing neck or body of the caught object. The tube goes down into the borehole to capture the object caught, and then rises up. When lifting, the wedge dies capture the catch.
If the catch cannot be removed, it can be released from the tube, creating the desired pressure, and removed to the surface of the tube. The tool has a hydraulic principle of operation, and for its operation, shear pins or balls are not required, since the difference in hydraulic pressures for the tool to operate is created by circulating through the nozzle in the core.
