JSC “Rosgeology” is the largest geological holding of the Russian Federation with a developed production and technical base, high professional competencies and a unique amount of accumulated geological information.

The holding is the sole executor of the state order for work on the reproduction of the mineral resource base of the Russian Federation. 100% of the capital of the Company is owned by the state.

Rosgeology is the largest geological exploration company in Russia by geography of presence. The holding unites over 60 geological enterprises that operate in more than 40 regions of Russia and abroad.

The company carries out all types of exploration from regional studies to parametric drilling and monitoring of the state of the subsoil, has unique competencies in the field of marine geology and offshore operations.

Holding companies have discovered more than 1000 fields, among which the largest deposits of hydrocarbons and solid minerals, such as: Astrakhan (2.5 trillion cubic meters of gas), Tengiz (3.1 billion tons of oil), Kovyktinsky (1.9 trillion cubic meters of gas ), Sukhoi Log (2 thousand tons of gold), Kursk magnetic anomaly, and many others.

Outside the Russian Federation, Rosgeology projects are being implemented by a subsidiary - Zarubezhgeologiya JSC - which has significant experience in the exploration and evaluation of new deposits in Asia, Europe, Africa and Latin America.
