On 1st April 2016, Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. was reborn as a construction equipment manufacturer with strengths in the two specialized fields of excavators and cranes through its merger with Kobelco Cranes Co., Ltd.  

Kobelco is meeting increasingly diverse customer needs by undertaking original product development centered on machines with low fuel consumption and low noise. As of April 2016, Kobelco's locations have expanded to China, Southeast Asia, India, Australia, the Middle East, the Americas and Europe. Responding to different needs by region and with differentiated products, Kobelco is accelerating the establishment of a global framework.
