Acid frac

Hydrofracturing, where acid is used as a fracturing fluid. It is used for the treatment of carbonate formations. A crack is created due to the injection of a special acidic composition and high pressure, the walls of the crack dissolve and are etched – as a result, channels are formed in the rock. It differs from conventional acid treatment by a much larger volume of acid used and injection pressure (higher than geological material burst pressure).
