Designing a rational scheme for developing hydrocarbon deposits is possible only after creating an exhaustive database that includes all existing geological and field information.

In JSC "TsGE" this principle is implemented using the DV-Geo software package, as well as ECLIPSE (Schlumberger) and TEMPEST MORE (ROXAR) technologies.

The full range of design work for the development of the field includes the following necessary components:

  1. Feasibility study of oil recovery factors and calculation of recoverable reserves.
  2. Creation of design and technological documents for the development of deposits.
  3. Construction and constant updating of geological and technological models of deposits.
  4. Monitoring of field development, including based on a quantitative analysis of the effectiveness of development systems and waterflooding technologies.
  5. Formation of a full package of documentation (based on existing regulatory documents and national standards) that ensures the successful protection of the feasibility study of the CIN and design and technological documents at the State Reserves Committee and Central Control Commission of the Rosnedra.

The original calculation methods of JSC "TsGE" allow you to perform all the elements of a quantitative analysis of the effectiveness of the development system, including:

  • calculation of the current coverage rate by displacement;
  • identification of the areas of deposits that are poorly covered by the processes of displacement
  • assessment of the potential of producing wells, taking into account drainage zones and distribution of current reserves;
  • performance analysis of each of the injection wells;
  • identification of possible causes of waterlogging of well products;
  • analysis of the balance of waterflooding systems.

Their application allows you to create both traditional grid geological and technological models of deposits, and models of streamlines. In this case, it can be provided:

  • formation of hydrodynamic models with the rationale for enlarging the cells of geological models;
  • taking into account the history of well operations, the results of well surveys, the variability of the reservoir properties of the rocks of oil reservoirs, the physicochemical properties of the fluids, the phase permeabilities of the fluids, and capillary pressure;
  • adaptation of models for each well.

A number of techniques have been created at JSC "TsGE" to improve the quality of design, and on their basis software products have been developed to automate the labor-intensive processes of creating and adapting hydrodynamic models:

  • automatic adaptation program - "AutoAdaptPro";
  • "Capilar" - a program that simulates the modification of capillary pressure, capable of balancing the initial oil saturation;
  • "ChangeWellPro" package for quick modification of well parameters;
  • the program of automatic well placement and determination of perforation parameters - "AddNewWellsPro";
  • "ReglProZone" - a program for the automatic generation of technological regulatory tables based on the results of calculations on standard simulators;
  • program "Economica" - for the automatic formation of regulatory economic tables based on the results of calculations on standard simulators.

At the final stage of design, the following design decisions are formed:

  • substantiation of the choice of the development object;
  • substantiation of the choice of a development system (including impact on the formation and bottomhole zone);
  • multivariate forecast calculations of technological development indicators and their detailed technical and economic analysis.

The original development engineering methods created at JSC “TsGE” allow achieving optimal placement of designed wells in terms of increasing the oil recovery coefficient, and their effectiveness has been proved by the example of many successfully completed projects.

For 2002-2007 The specialists of JSC “TsGE” defended 22 projects for the preparation of design documents for the development of deposits at the Central Design Bureau of Rosnedra and its regional branches.
