Scomi Flo-Divider
The main purpose of the separator is to receive drilling fluid from the well and to distribute the flow evenly over each vibrating screen involved in the work.
The principle of the flow separator
Drilling fluid from the well through the wellhead pipe enters the receiving part of the separator (1). In the receiving part of the separator, the flow rate is quenched on the screen (2), when filling the receiving part, the solution is overfilled through the upper partition into the intermediate cavity of the separator. (3). As the intermediate cavity of the separator is filled and by adjusting the opening of the drain partitions (5), the solution is distributed among the supply ports (4) of the flow separator, from where the stream flows through pipelines to the vibrating screens. When the baffles are fully open, the mud flow is evenly distributed. (4), Installing one or any number of rash baffles allows you to stop the flows directed to the corresponding vibrating screens, while the remaining vibrating screens will receive equal portions of the solution. Thus, the dampers allow you to control the flow distribution depending on the number of working and idle vibrating screens. The installation of a flow separator radically simplifies the problem of feeding the solution to vibrating screens when there are two or more of them.
The drainage allows you to control the distribution of flows on the vibrating screens, and also direct them to bypass the vibrating screens.
The flow splitter compensates for inaccuracies in the installation of vibrating screens. For example, if the vibrating screens are not quite exactly relative to each other in level, this disadvantage is easily eliminated by changing the supplied volume of the solution to one or another vibrating screen.

The flow separator does not require special skills, devices and tools for installation / dismantling and maintenance work. The flow separator is supplied as complete as possible and includes mating flanges to which the supply pipelines are connected by welding, without violating the paintwork of the device itself, which eliminates the appearance of rust and the effects of aggressive media on the metal, prolonging the life of the device.
