Balcony of a riding worker with Emergency Evacuation device
In view of this, the balcony of a riding worker with an emergency evacuation device should have increased safety indicators. To do this, this design is capable of withstanding a load of at least 130 kgf in constant mode. On all sides, the balcony is equipped with a railing type fence, which provides continuous sheathing to the balcony floor. The boards from which the lining is made are equipped with a safety fastener made of a metal rope with a diameter of up to 6 millimeters. The rope is sewn to the cladding boards with brackets with ends bent from the back of the cladding. The floor of the balcony is made of metal.
In case of emergencies and force majeure circumstances, the balcony of the riding worker is equipped with an emergency evacuation device. Thanks to him, in the event of a fire, open gushing of an oil well or the manifestation of another emergency situation, the riding worker can quickly leave the balcony. This is a cabin with an upper initial position, which is kept from moving down due to the friction forces between the parts of the mechanism. If an emergency occurs at the well and the rig, the worker sits in the cab, pulls the desired handle (eccentric brake handle) downward, disengaging the system. So the worker leaves the space inside the tower.
The raising of the balcony of the riding worker with the emergency evacuation device is carried out simultaneously with the extension of the upper mast section. Installation of the balcony is carried out before raising the tower. The device is subject to obligatory lighting when performing work in the dark and in low visibility conditions. In order to safely raise and lower the riding worker from the balcony, the design is completed with a safety device.
