Internal Centralizers
- Used to center pipes with a diameter of 219 - 1524 mm
- Using adapter kits, each centralizer for pipes with diameters from 305 to 1524 mm can be used with pipes of two diameters.
- Standard centralizers are adjustable for wall thicknesses up to 12.7 mm; for pipes with a larger wall thickness, modified centralizers are supplied.
- A stroke drive is supplied with 305 - 1524 mm models.
- To ensure efficient operation, the compressed air pressure should be between 180 and 200 psi. inch (12.4 - 13.8 bar).
- Maximum safe working pressure is 225 psi. inch (15.5 bar).
Internal centralizers give the ends of the assembled pipes a circle shape, ensure their concentric assembly, evenly distributing the difference in perimeters. Their advantage in comparison with external centralizers is that the joint, remaining completely open, allows you to weld the first layer continuously and use automatic welding machines.
Internal centralizers have an electro-hydraulic drive and two independent rows of centering presses. Centralizers are powered by DC welding units. The centralizer is moved from joint to joint behind the bar by a pipe layer or tractor. For centering pipes with deformed ends, bench presses can rotate relative to each other.
The hydrostation used in centralizers has an increased working pressure, which, together with the modified centering mechanism, allows the use of centralizers manufactured by our company when working with pipes with a larger wall thickness and increased strength classes.
