1. They serve to maintain pressure in tanks, acts as a breathing and safety valve.
2. A hydraulic valve is used, which is filled with a difficult-to-evaporate, non-crystallizing, non-polymerizing and non-freezing liquid.
3. Breathing valves are non-freezing.
4. On tanks equipped with breathing valves, safety valves of equal capacity are installed. Breathing and safety valves are installed on separate branch pipes.
5. The material of the seals (gates) of pontoons and floating roofs is selected taking into account the properties of the stored product and meets the requirements regulated by the project: durability, frost resistance, heat resistance, vapor permeability of the stored product, flammability.
6. The set is equipped with a common gas equalization line with discharge through a hydraulic seal into the atmosphere through a "candle" during "small" breaths and when filling the tanks.
7. A candle for dumping vapors of gas and oil products is located outside the embankment or the enclosing wall at a distance of at least 5 m from them on the leeward side in relation to the buildings and structures of the gas storage (oil depot) that are not directly related to the tank farm. The height of the candle is at least 30 m.
