Supports GOST 14911-82
It is forbidden to use GOST 14911 supports in seismically active areas, on heaving and permafrost soils, for pipelines of heating networks, power plants, main lines and for transporting refrigerants. According to the KGS classifier GOST, the standard belongs to the group Zh 34:
- Zh - building materials and construction;
- 3 - construction details/structures;
- 4 - metal structures/parts.
On its basis, several subordinate regulatory documents have been developed that regulate the creation of GOST 14911-82 supports.
Movable supports
In pipeline construction, a GOST 14911 support is a part that receives vertical, lateral, axial loads and transfers them to a foundation or a supporting structure. At least one degree of freedom of the pipeline in the longitudinal direction is essential during its operation for a number of reasons:
- the main structural material for the manufacture of pipes is steel;
- metals initially have the highest linear elongation when the temperature changes under the influence of an external or working environment.
The movable support GOST 14911-82 for the pipeline allows the pipes to move along the axis with temperature changes. On the other hand, any of the movable supports GOST 14911 82 can be used as a fixed one if it is welded to the pipe body. Requirements GOST 14911
The last revision of the standard was made in 1986. At present, the following requirements are relevant for GOST 14911 supports:
- pipeline material - steel;
- working environment - any except for refrigerants;
- environment parameters - temperature from +450°С to 0°С, pressure within 10 MPa;
- pipeline diameter - 18 - 1620 mm;
- type of supports - only movable, welded, collar and frameless.
The standard uses the marking of supports OPP, OPKh and OPB with indices 1,2 and 3. The frameless version is designed for a pipeline diameter of 18 - 530 mm. Clamp supports OPH2 and OPH3 are used for fastening pipes with an outer diameter of 57 - 630 mm, and OPH1 for a small diameter of 18 - 48 mm. Welded supports OPP2 and OPP3 are used for pipes 57 - 1620 mm, and OPP1 for thin pipelines 18 - 48 mm.
Welded movable supports
By design, OPP correspond to hull movable supports, however, there are nuances:
- support OPP1 is a bracket with a central stiffener, oriented longitudinally with the axis of the pipeline;
- supports OPP2 and OPP3 are made in the form of a bent channel with one and two transverse stiffeners, respectively;
- on OPP2, the pipe is laid in the semicircular slots of the side flanges of the bracket;
- with the side flanges of the OPP2 and OPP3 supports, the pipe has a point contact, but along the entire length, it additionally lies in the semicircular grooves of the stiffeners.
In height OPP1, the GOST 14911-82 support has a size of 70 mm or 100 mm. Modifications OPP2 and OPP3 have a corresponding vertical dimension of 100 mm and 150 mm.
Clamp movable supports
The design consists of welded OPP supports in combination with U-shaped clamps covering the pipeline from above and lugs installed from below. OPH1 are used for pipelines DN 18 - 48 mm, OPH2 for diameters 57 - 630 mm.
The eyelets for fastening the clamps of the OPKh1 support, made in accordance with GOST 14911, are welded to the body. The clamps themselves are bar M8 for diameters 18 - 26.8 mm or M10 for diameters 32 - 48 mm.
In the supports OPH2 and OPH3, U-shaped rods are used with threads at the ends M10 for diameters of 57 mm and 60 mm, M12 for DN 75 - 114 mm, M16 for fixing pipes 133 - 194 mm, M20 for 219 mm pipes and M24 for pipelines of large diameter 273 - 630 mm.
Support OPH1 has two clamps, OPH2 provides two versions - with one and two clamps located in the center and along the edges of the body, respectively. The OPH3 support is actually a double modification of the OPH2 with two clamps in the middle of each of its halves.
Frameless movable supports
To simplify the design of the OPB support in accordance with GOST 14911-82, they do not have a body. The OPB1 version consists of a lodgement on a support platform, welded to it. The modification of the movable support OPB2 is additionally equipped with a bar clamp, which is fixed with bolts to the support platform itself.
OPB supports are designed for diameters of 18 - 530 mm, the clamps are threaded M8 - M24, respectively. The main parameters of frameless supports are:
Pipe diameter (mm) | Lodgment dimensions (mm) | Base plate thickness (mm) | |
length | width | ||
18 - 45 | fifty | twenty | 8 |
57-76 | fifty | fifty | 8 |
89 | one hundred | fifty | 8 |
108 - 114 | one hundred | fifty | 12 |
133-159 | 150 | one hundred | 12 |
194-219 | 200 | one hundred | 12/16 |
273 - 377 | 200 | 200 | 16 |
426 | 300 | 200 | 16 |
480 - 530 | 350 | 200 | 16 |
Movable supports of the OPB can be used as sliding or guides.
Marking of movable supports in accordance with GOST 14911
The main nuances of the designation of supports GOST 14911-82 are:
- letter marking - OP (movable support);
- support type - P (welded), X (clamp) or B (unframed);
- height - the main difference from the designation of other supports according to other standards;
- outer diameter of the pipeline - determines the bending radius of the clamp and cushion;
- the presence of holes for the satellite - os.
At the end of the designation, the number of the GOST 14911-82 standard is indicated. In 2012, the enterprise standard TU 5263-004-90533786, which is subordinate to GOST, was developed. The specifications contain similar requirements, exactly the same marking is used. However, the field of use of supports has changed from technological pipelines to pipelines for the oil and gas industry and the processing industry.
