One of the components of successful work using RUS is the competent selection of a drilling tool that can realize the full potential of these systems. Therefore, NPP BURINTECH is currently actively developing and introducing equipment for working with controlled systems, since their relevance is growing every year. You need to know that the RUS are divided into two main types according to the method of controlling the displacement of the bit relative to the axis of the well :

1. "Push-the-bit" - the radial displacement of the entire layout or most of it relative to the axis of the well;
2. “Point-the-bit” - bit positioning is achieved by shifting the drive shaft relative to the layout or by changing its curvature.

Two different RUS mechanisms may require completely different bit designs. The lateral and axial drilling efficiency for the cutting structure, the length of the calibrating part and its aggressiveness, and the durability of the weapon structure must comply with the requirements of the RUS.

NPP BURINTECH produces bits for working together with both types of RUS. The tool is successfully produced in dimensions from 142.9 to 295.3 mm. Moreover, it is possible to work with combined RUS, combining the properties of two systems.

As an achievement, it is worth noting the development of a matrix bit with a long gage part for working with RUS in difficult conditions at Venezuelan fields. A well with high mechanical penetration rates was successfully drilled. The bit after work remained in excellent condition.
