Spiral vane Calibrator (KLSV)
The calibrator blades are reinforced with pressed-in carbide teeth made of tungsten carbide hard alloys. Blade armament:
MS - designed for soft and medium breeds.
ST - designed for medium and hard breeds.
MST - designed for soft, medium and hard rocks.
STK - for work in rocks of III-IV hardness category.
TK - for working in rocks of V-VI hardness category.
The calibrator (centralizer) body is manufactured with a key mount (index ST-1) and a mount using a special insert in the rotor (index ST).
Connecting locking threads of calibrators and centralizers are manufactured according to GOST 28487.
Advantages:
- spiral calibrators are a simple and reliable means for solving problems of orientation-free control of deep wellbore trajectories and improving their quality, which allows lowering casing strings to the required depths without tightening and reaming. The use of calibrators improves the operating conditions of bits and increases their technical and technical performance;
- calibrators with straight blades allow to reduce hydraulic resistance when drilling soft rocks prone to swelling and formation of a thick clay crust;
- the body and blades of the calibrator after mechanical processing are free of burrs, nicks, cracks and other defects that affect the strength and worsen the appearance of the product;
- before pressing in, the teeth and holes in the blades must be cleaned of oxide films and rust;
- after pressing, the teeth should not have visible cracks or chips;
- the working surface of the calibrator blades is cleaned of scale and flux, degreased with a solvent;
- at the Customer’s request, the ends of the blades are reinforced with hard alloy;
- coordination of the sketch with the Customer before manufacturing (total length L, working length l, diameter D, internal diameter d, number of blades, connecting thread, etc.);
