Drilling rig PBU-2

The drilling rig PBU-2 with a mechanical drive of a movable rotary head is designed to solve problems during engineering and geological surveys and implements all drilling technologies with soil sampling. PBU-2 provides percussion-rope drilling using driven cups and samplers, core and coreless "dry" / with flushing / with blowing, percussion-rotary (pneumatic hammers), auger, drilling using borehole drills, and also performs static and dynamic soil probing. This rig has various options for mounting on transport bases: wheeled (including a double-row cabin), tracked transporters, tractors, sled base, pontoons, etc. Drive options - from a deck engine or from a transport base. The PBU-2 is mounted on its own frame with a drive from an independent diesel engine, which makes it possible to mount it on mobile vehicles that do not have their own engine, or on which power take-off is impossible. The use of a deck power unit allows to reduce depreciation costs associated with the operation and maintenance of the vehicle engine, and significantly reduce fuel consumption. At the customer's request, a modification with a drive from the engine of the transport base is produced. A movable rotary head with a mechanical drive in combination with a powerful hydraulic feed mechanism allows to create a significant axial load on the rock-cutting tool from the first meters of drilling. The design of the rotary head allows it to be moved away from the well axis to perform tripping operations, install casing strings and implement percussion-rope drilling technology using a drilling winch. The controls of the PBU-2 are located at the base of the mast on the frame of the unit. For ease of control, the unit is equipped with a removable platform for the drilling operator. Hydraulic jacks are provided. These units have a wide geographical application throughout Russia, the CIS countries, Asia, Africa, etc. and are the successor of the UGB-1VS and PBU-1 units, which have proven themselves to be excellent since the times of the USSR. The machine can be used in areas with a moderate climate in the temperature range from - 40°C to + 40°C (an Arctic version up to - 50°C is possible). PBU-2 units manufactured by Geomash have high maintainability in field conditions and are certified.
