Underwater Research
To carry out underwater work, a diving station is organized from specialists with diving qualifications and allowed to work under the ice. Diving descents are carried out in accordance with the Unified Safety Rules for Diving Operations (Part I, Diving Service Rules, 1992).
Descent is carried out in dry suits. For breathing, scuba gears with an antifreeze regulator are used. Communication with divers is carried out by telephone and signal end.
Underwater photo and video shooting is carried out by cameras and video cameras placed in airtight boxes. To scale images on the boxes, laser pointers are installed. To check the depth of captured objects and the orientation of the camera, a depth gauge with roll and trim indicators is installed in front of its lens. Underwater lights and flash units are used to illuminate captured objects.
Diving work in the coastal zone includes lithodynamic, geomorphological, biological studies at the bottom of the coastal landfill, as well as studies on the dynamics of water masses in the bottom layer.
The following are observed: monitoring and recording on the photo / video camera the dynamics of bottom forms, determining the geometrical dimensions and orientation of the furrows of the ice examination of the bottom, installing and maintaining bottom stations and sedimentation traps, taking benthos
In addition, there is experience in the implementation of a range of diving surveys of structures of underwater parts of hydraulic structures and pipelines
