PURPOSE Gear pumps of the Ш, НМШ, НМШФ, НМШГ types and electric pump units based on them are intended for pumping petroleum products (oil, OMTI oil, petroleum, fuel oil) and other liquids with lubricating ability (magnetic varnish, paints), including easily solidifying ones (bitumen, pitch, rubrax, etc. - NMShG pumps with heating) without mechanical impurities and not causing corrosion of the working parts of the pump. Viscosity of the pumped liquid - from 0.018・10-4 to 35.00・10-4 m2/s (1.08…470°ВУ) at temperatures up to +70°С (for some pumps - up to 220°С). The lower viscosity limit is limited by the lubricating capacity of the pumped liquid, the upper one - by the electric motor power and the suction capacity of the pump. When ordering, the viscosity limits and the operating temperature of the pumped liquid must be agreed with the manufacturer. Pumps and units are classified as type 1 products (repairable) according to GOST 27.003-9. Pumps and units are manufactured in climatic version U, placement category 2, 3 or T2, T5 according to GOST 15150-69. Pumps for orders of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS) pumps (units) are manufactured in climatic version OM placement category 2, 5 GOST 15150-69, and can be installed on seagoing vessels with an unlimited navigation area, as well as in the engine and boiler rooms of ships with the automation sign A1 and A2 in the RMRS class symbol. At the customer's request, the pumps can be supplied in a version for operation in explosion- and fire-hazardous production facilities in zones of classes B-1a, B-1b, B-1g, B-II according to the Electrical Installation Code. DESIGN The electric pump unit consists of a gear pump and an electric motor, which are mounted: - for pumps Ш, НМШ, НМШГ - on a common plate (frame) and a coupling protected by a casing; - for pumps НМШФ - using a lantern (welded or cast) and a coupling. At the customer's request, the pump can be supplied assembled with or without a coupling, without an electric motor and plate (frame) or without a lantern. According to the operating principle, the gear pump is positive displacement. When the driving and driven rotors rotate, a vacuum is created on the inlet side, as a result of which the liquid under atmospheric pressure fills the cavities between the teeth and moves in them from the inlet side to the outlet side. At the outlet, when the teeth engage, the liquid is squeezed out into the system. The pump consists of the following main parts and units: the working mechanism, the housing with the rear cover and the stand, the safety and relief valves, the end seal.
