Design

The hydraulic clamp consists of a housing with brackets made in the form of two crescents; a hydraulic cylinder is attached to the brackets, which provides compression or opening of the mechanism.

In this case, the brackets can be equipped with interchangeable dies - to provide a larger contact area with the pipe being held along the outer diameter. The clamp housing has two mounting axes for changing the working diameter.

Hydraulic pipe clamp - GTZ can be installed on any drilling rig type URB 2A-2 or similar.

On URB 2A-2, the clamp is installed directly under the working table of the drilling rig, attached to pre-welded embedded parts with bolts.

The clamp control distributor is installed on the control panel of the drilling rig or near the place of the driller.

Connection

The hydraulic clamp is connected to the hydraulic system of the rig using the hoses of the high pressure hoses from the tandem pump NS on the transfer case.
For effective clamping and prevention of excessive deformation of clamped pipes, it is necessary to use an adjusting screw to comply with the most complete girth of the pipe body with dies, depending on the diameter. On request, you can also make replaceable dies for any pipe diameter.

For correct operation and reliable operation of the clamp, it is necessary to offer the customer a kit for connecting a pipe clamp, which includes:

• Hydraulic Pipe Clamp - GTZ
• Hydropneumatic accumulator - to maintain constant pressure in the cylinder with the valve turned off.
• RVD connecting sleeves.
• Pressure gauge - for visual observation of working pressure.
• Hydrodistributor with pressure regulator.

When installing GTZ on a drilling site, it is necessary to carry out work on the modernization of the hydraulic system of the installation:

• Replacing a properly installed pump NSh-10 or installing a new - dual NSh - tandem. Old pump - returned to the customer. Note: For transfer cases 2-43 and 2-65, NSh pumps of various directions of rotation are used.
• Installation of GTZ on the mast.
• Installation of g / distributor and pressure gauge.
• Install g / battery.
• Laying pipelines and piping of the pump, distributor, GTZ.
