UTZh VIP contains a hydrocarbon base (marketable oil, stabilized gas condensate or diesel fuel), a mixture of cyclic and fatty acids.

UTZh VIР also contains additives for regulating viscosity and changing specific gravity. Depending on the application conditions, the volume of utilization of UTZh UIP is 2-5 m3; above the reservoir, the well is filled with any jamming fluid with a lower density (see figure)

When killing oil wells equipped with an ESP or SHGN, at the first stage (1) the calculated volume (2-5 m3) of UTZh VIР fluid is pumped. Due to the difference in density, the oil in the perforation interval is replaced (2) by the composition of UTZh VIР. Above the perforation interval, the replacement fluid is replaced with the main kill fluid (3), the replacement fluid is raised (4), and the new pump (5) is launched. Moreover, the hydrocarbon composition of UTZh VIР is constantly in the perforation interval.

When killing gas wells with high permeability of productive formations and abnormally low reservoir pressures, UTZh VIР is produced, in which stable gas condensate is used as a hydrocarbon medium. A feature of this composition is a sharp increase in its viscous properties in the downhole conditions (3200-3500 mPa ∙ s), which provides a high blocking effect and, as a result, well killing with significantly less losses.

The main difference between UTZh VIP and currently used emulsions, brines and other process fluids is to obtain a high blocking effect formed by a hydrocarbon fluid, which ensures the practical absence of absorption and the complete conservation of reservoir properties of the reservoir, regardless of the geological and technical conditions in the well, including in case of APD and high permeability of the formation.
