Settling. The initial wastewater is initially directed to a thin-layer settling tank, where a counter-current flow pattern of water and sediment is organized. Here, the bulk of suspended solids and free oil products are removed. The sediment slides down the inclined surface of the thin-layer elements and collects in the lower conical part of the settling tank, from where it is periodically discharged through the sediment discharge pipeline. The floating free oil products are retained by polymer floating booms. Mechanical filtration. The clarified water enters a mechanical filter with a polymer load, designed to purify water from residual concentrations of suspended solids and emulsified oil products. Sorption purification. Then the ascending water flow passes a sorption carbon filter, where the final purification from oil products occurs. Purified water is collected in a purified water tank, from where it is discharged by gravity.
