Gas Turbine power unit of the Ural-2500 Hydroelectric power Station

The power unit is based on the GTU-2.5P with a nominal capacity of 2.5 MW, developed on the basis of the gas generator of the most reliable engine in the history of the domestic aviation industry, the D-30, created for mainline passenger aircraft such as the Tu-134. It is used to produce electrical and thermal energy. It operates as the main and backup power source; in the basic, semi-peak and peak use classes, autonomously and in parallel with other sources of electrical energy and power systems.
