Support crane beams, similar to suspended ones, can be used both indoors and on sites under a canopy or in the open air. This type of cranes differs in the type of crane runway, which must be made in the form of a rail or a steel square profile, on which the crane is installed (supported), hence the definition of a "support" crane beam. When manufacturing a crane beam with a large lifting capacity and span length, the crane span is reinforced with a steel pipe.

The crane's drive consoles are equipped with special rubber "buffers" to prevent the console from hitting the floors at the end of the crane runways.
