Flatbed Trailer PR-18B

Chassis design

• Reinforced chassis made of two longitudinal I-section side members (the load-bearing strips are made of Swedish OVAKO steel) connected by cross beams (for difficult road conditions).
• The frame structure is made of high-strength steel operating in temperatures ranging from -70 °C to +80 °C.
• The 18-ton drawbar is located in the center, attached to the rotating bogie (the diameter of the removable coupling loop is ø50* and the coupling height is approx. 920 mm, the length of the drawbar is approx. 2000 mm);
• Slewing ring BPW DK / Jost KLK HE (Germany);
• 2 wheel chocks (shoes) SUER (Germany);
• Rear protective device made in accordance with UNECE Regulation No. 58.01;
• 2 wheel chocks with holders;
• Basket-type spare wheel holder – 1 unit;
• Lateral underrun protection SUER (Germany), manufactured according to UNECE Regulation No. 73.00.

Axle unit

• 2-axle axle unit S9-4218 (Germany), drum brake mechanism SNK4218, reinforced off-road version (CD-CUSTOM DESIGN version), round axle beam for roads in Russia and the CIS with a lateral slope. Permissible load on each axle is 9000 kg;
• Reinforced air suspension IO37/2500 27 (Germany) (cushions with a diameter of 350 mm) without the ability to raise/lower;
• Reinforced shock absorbers (red CD);
• Plastic half-wings behind the first and rear axles;
• A pair of SUER (Germany) mudguards with the STEELBEAR logo behind each axle.

Wheels and tires

• Wheel assembly 5 pcs. (incl. 1 spare);
• CORDIANT PROFESSIONAL 160K tires, size 385/65R22.5;
• Steel wheels JANTSA 22.5x11.75 ET0.

Brake system

• Pneumatic electronic braking system TEBS 4S/3M (Germany), with RSS function (rollover control system). EBS allows to obtain an optimal ratio between the braking forces of individual wheels, as well as between the tractor and the trailer (24 volts);
• ABS sensors on two axles;
• Diaphragm type brake chambers;
• Semi-automatic parking brake system with spring energy accumulators;
• Two pneumatic connection heads (supply and control) are installed on flexible twisted hoses;
• ABS socket according to ISO7638 (including connecting cable to tractor).

Electrical equipment

• Electrical equipment ASPOECK (Germany) in explosion-proof design. Cable and connectors are reliably protected from chemical and thermal effects, with a voltage of 24 volts in the network;
• Central 10-core cable with cross-section: 7x1.5 mm and 3x2.5 mm;
• Front white side lights – 2 pcs;
• Side marker lights – 6 pcs.;
• License plate lights – 2 pcs;
• Five-chamber rear lights with reflectors;
• Contour rear lights in rubber covers – 2 pcs.;
• Seven-pole connectors – 2 pcs.;
• Fifteen-pin connector for connecting electrical equipment (including a 15-pin spiral cable with an adapter (15P/24V-2x7P/24V).

Floor

• Made of laminated multilayer birch plywood 27 mm thick, corrugated surface;
• It is permitted to drive a forklift directly in the body; the total weight of the forklift is up to 7,100 kg;
• Fastening rings built into the floor for securing cargo - 10 pcs.

Front wall

• Front steel wall 1200 mm;
• Pneumatic and electrical connectors at a height of approximately 600 mm from the fifth wheel coupling.

Frame

• Steel removable stands, not height adjustable – 2 pcs.;
• Rear steel removable racks, not height adjustable – 2 pcs.

Tailgate

• Tailgate made of anodised aluminium, approx. 740 mm high;
• 3 full ties on the side (from the base of the loop to the top plane of the side);
• Rear horizontal rubber bumpers – 2 pcs.;
• Rear ALUMINIUM protective device, with integrated number plate holder, manufactured according to UNECE Regulation No. 58.01, with full-width mudguard with STEELBEAR advertising;
• Frame for registration number with STEELBEAR logo;
• Reflective signs ECE 70 – 2 pcs;
• Folding step mounted on board.

Sides

• Side panels left and right, approximately 740 mm high, made of anodized aluminum, 2 pieces on each side;
• 4 full ties on each side (from the base of the loop to the top plane of the side).

Marking

• Partial reflective markings in accordance with ECE R48, yellow on sides and back.

Painting

• Preparation of steel surfaces by shot blasting to degree Sa 2 ½;
• Painting the chassis with a two-component ACRYLIC system used for painting products in the AUTOMOBILE industry with preliminary application of a two-component anti-corrosion zinc-containing primer that protects the frame from “sublayer” corrosion;
• The colour of the chassis, front wall, pillars and external trim is black (RAL 9005);
• Side protection without painting (aluminum);
• Rear protective device in silver/body color;
• The wheel rims are silver-grey.
